Haji Gulam Mohammad Azam Education Trust

The complex of institutions at Azam Campus had a humble beginning 130 years ago in the form of an Arabic Maktab of which one of the first students was the late Sir Mohammed Rafiuddin tutor to Queen Victoria. The nucleus, through the concentrated efforts of benefactors, benevolent leaders and eminent educationists such as Haji Gulam Mohd. Azam , Khan Abdul Kalam Khan and Khan Bahadur Hidayatulla has gradually grown into the present large system of HGMAE Trust, MCE Society and other institutions of learning and research, catering to the needs of over 18,000 students right from pre-primary school to the post graduate level with the medium of instruction being Urdu as well as English.

The Azam Trust owns the land, the buildings and the institutions are managed by MCE Society. Degree and Diploma courses covering a broad spectrum of subjects from Computer Science, Law, Pharmacy, Dental and Information Technology are being offered on one piece of land in Pune, Camp measuring 23 ½ acres with a mosque at its center.

The Azam Trust owns the land, the buildings and the institutions are managed by MCE Society. The schools on the Campus comprise Urdu and English Primary Schools for Boys &Girls, Night School, Industrial Training Institute and a Computer Academy. There are colleges only for women besides B.Ed. degree course and a D. Ed. College sponsored by HGM Azam College of Education.
